Happy 3rd birthday Jack!!

Grammy and I had a delayed birthday party for you Mr. Jack because Grammy came down with a bad case of vertigo the day of your party at Coppal Farm. Grammy couldn't see normally, everything was spinning and I had to take her to the ER. She felt really bad for three-four days and about a week and a half later was doing better. Sorry we missed your party,! You were happy to get presents a few days later!
thanks for helping me celebrate Jack!
waiting for the ice cream truck

On a late August afternoon, on one of our last beach days of 2013, you posed for a quick photo in front of our rock wall, waiting patiently for the ice cream truck to finally arrive at our driveway. The sound of the truck can often be heard while we're on the beach, sometimes prompting a mad dash to catch the truck before it passes by. "Ahh, we missed it!" But not this time... we made it and you were satisfied. The ice cream truck: one of many classic summer childhood moments I hope you'll always remember.
a wild & crazy boy

this is my new favorite photo of you Jack! I took it on Saturday at Ainsley's birthday party at "Jump On In" in Portsmouth. It's a giant room filled with massive blow-up play structures that include ladders, slides, baseball, basketball and mazes. You had so much fun and did not slow down one second - you're a wild and crazy boy, nothing bothers you!!
a sleepy milestone
Jack the storyteller
Words spew from your mouth as fast as you can launch them. You’re a machine-gunning wordsmith. Words that are skillfully meshed together into little sentences. Sentences that express what you’re thinking.
Non-fiction most of the time, but increasingly, fiction… or maybe it’s non-fiction without any time reference.
Grammy, you hair is a mess u need to brush it (she did)
I got a haircut today (you didn’t)
I went to the car wash (two weeks ago)
I went on a pirate ship (uh, maybe at Disney World?)
In your little world of endless chatting, the most important thing appears to be keeping the dialogue going at all cost… the words flowing in lively bursts of creative imagination. As an example, your Dad was yelling at Ben at a soccer game recently… soon you were yelling too:
Move up Ben, move up!
You are funny, social, engaging and very entertaining.
You are Jack the Storyteller.
I like this photo of you & me
Binky Free Boy
St. Patty’s Day craziness!
it was crazy times at 44 Waterloo today! Grammy and I bought all of you green beads, sparkly green hats and light-up leprechaun rings. We had green cupcakes and Grammy even made her famous dip green! The centerpiece on the kitchen table was a pot-o-gold filled with “leprechaun coins” – you guys loved playing with the gold. Molly and Ainsley joined in too, but as usual, they were too busy playing together to pose for a picture!
