happy hoppy Easter 2017 Jack!
You lost your second tooth!!

what’s going on in that mouth of yours? Bottom front teeth are moving and loosening and saying “Hey Jack, it’s time for me to get out of here! There’s no more room! I don’t want to leave but I’m getting pushed out by stronger neighbors below me. When I fall out, don’t forget to put me under your pillow!”
you look super cool on your new bike!

You lost your first tooth!

Friday was a big day. You lost your FIRST tooth… while you were at school!! You were nervous about losing it… but you ended up pulling it yourself. Way to go Jack! Go for it! What a big moment. I hope the tooth fairy leaves you a lot of money under your pillow! (don’t worry, the tooth fairy is invisible and you won’t notice a thing).
low key brilliance
You were standing on the floor with your Mom, Dad, Emma, Grammy and me, not tall enough to see Molly’s soccer game without a boost. We were all busy chit-chatting about places to eat, how bad the food is at McDonald’s, yadda yadda yadda. You weren’t pleased because you wanted your parents to take you to McD’s.
That’s when I heard a soft voice – your voice – saying, as if to yourself for no one else to hear:
“If you don’t like McDonald’s, you’re not American.”
No one heard what you said, so I repeated it… “Jack did you say ‘If you don’t like McDonald’s, you’re not American?’
“Yes,” you said.
At that point everyone was tuned in and listening, and we all cracked up. It was another classic from the low key, yet brilliant, mind of Jack Clickman!
Here are some others you’ve said recently:
“I’m going to save all my money from the tooth fairy, Christmas, my birthday and buy myself a new car.”
“When I climb up on the counter to get food, I’m just doing my parkour.” (Full disclosure: I had to ask your Mom what parkour meant, I had no idea.)
“If my Mommy and Daddy get divorced, I’m gonna go with my Mom.”
More:
Ben says to your Mom… “Did you cry when I was born?” Your Mom answers, “It hurt a LOT. You all came out of my body.” Emma responds, “Not me, I didn’t come out.” Your Mom says “You can’t put a baby back.” To which you reply, “Yes you can! You can eat a baby, that’s how it gets back into your belly.”
Your Mom: “Jack, did you know you were named after Papa? Your middle name is Andrew.: After thinking about it a few seconds you replied “Papa Andrew? That’s a silly name!”
multitudes of merry
The 2016 holiday season was filled with wonderful experiences together including the annual Dover Christmas parade; Middle school concerts; a Christmas Eve get together at Surrey Lane; Christmas day at the Clickman’s (the Beaupre’s were in Maine this year); and a big day after celebration – all together – at 30 Shore Lane.

happy 6th birthday Jack!
As I think of you on your special day, many words come to mind describing your personality and what makes you special. Even though I could use a lot more words to capture the incredibleness of Jack Clickman, I decided to stick within the four letters making up your name! So….
How do you spell Jack?
J = joyful, joking, Jurassic. You like joking around, having fun, being outside and of course you love dinosaurs. You are one good looking boy with a great smile. Talk about classic handsomeness, I’m amazed every time I look at you. Magazines will publish your face; women and men will swoon all the days of your life. People want to be around you. You are a charming, jovial Jack.
A = Active! That word jumps out of my mind right away! You’re not the type to sit idly around, you like to be busy, zipping about, never letting grass grow under your colorful crocs. Whether it’s playing trucks, beanie boos with Molly, running around a playground or drawing a new picture, Jack Clickman has places to go, people to see and things to do.
C = cool & chatty. Another word I think of immediately is cool. You’re not a typical kid, you’re “deep” with all kinds of layers (“donkeys have layers” said Shrek). I love the way you talk… never shouting (unless you’re a little funny whacky or angry)… always subdued and laid back. When I walk next to you, you’re usually talking away and it’s sometimes hard to hear you… but when I lean down and listen carefully you’re saying all kinds of interesting things. I’m amazed what comes out of your mind, your mouth.
K = knowledgeable & kind- Read some of the earlier blogs I wrote where I quote you directly… you’re so observant and curious, and wow, what a keen mind. You’re smart and have a great memory. You know more about space and dinosaurs than I’ve ever known! Another thing I love about you is your kindness… you’re not aggressive, pushy, loud or self focused… there’s a sensitivity and kindness that endears you to everyone.
Happy birthday Jack I love you very much!
